Side by side at the screen, at the MJC du Tampon
Twelve sessions, six weeks, and already the wish to carry on. The first session of Clic'Ansanm has come to an end at the MJC du Tampon, and it will be remembered as a wonderful human adventure.
From 20 May to 26 June, the Espace Info Jeunes hosted our intergenerational digital workshop. Week after week, younger and older participants gathered around the same screen, not simply to "learn computing", but to move forward together, at their own pace.
Far more than digital skills
Clic'Ansanm quickly became a place to meet. People learned to send an email, to organise their documents, to regain confidence in front of a computer. But above all, they shared: a gesture shown, a moment of patience passed on, a smile exchanged.
That is what makes Clic'Ansanm different. There is no "self-service" here, where you fix a problem in a hurry and leave on your own again. We chose a genuine journey instead, in a small group, with attention given to each person. Time allowed everyone to dare to ask, to truly practise, and to build connections that go far beyond the keyboard. As the weeks went by, real friendships were even born.
Real progress, at any age
Digital skills are not an end in themselves: they are a key. A key to everyday tasks, to paperwork, to a job search, to staying in touch with loved ones and, quite simply, to rebuilding self-confidence.
From the youngest to retired participants, everyone left with new skills and, most importantly, greater independence. Some worked on their CV and job applications; others grew comfortable with their own computer. Each one made progress, in their own way.
What we will remember
"It is vital in today's world," one participant told us. Another stressed how the support went well beyond digital skills, reaching right into her social and vocational integration journey.
By the end of the session, the feeling was unanimous: the wish to continue. Every participant wants to keep the adventure going, and to recommend it to those around them.

What comes next?
This first session calls for more. The need is there, and so is the enthusiasm: a new edition of Clic'Ansanm is already being considered, with the idea of offering pathways suited to every level, from complete beginners to those who want to go further.
